The Department of Commerce was started in September 1990. The department offers Ph.D. & M.Phil in Commerce and M.Com (Finance & Computer Applications) and M.Com (Finance & Accounting). So far the department has produced 35 Ph.D. and 103 M.Phil. graduates. The department had conducted 34 Refresher Courses in Commerce benefiting 900 colleges and University teachers. The department had also conducted several seminars and conferences.
